Wonderful Wednesday- Cauliflower Manchurian

Recipe Time: Cauliflower Manchurian

Its HOT and SPICY!!



Ingredients

Cauliflower, separated into florets           500 grams

For Batter:

Cornflour/ Corn starch   4 tablespoons
All Purpose Flour           8 tablespoons
Black Pepper                 to taste
Salt                                to taste
Water                            as required
Oil                                 to deep fry

For Sauce :
Oil                                                          2 tablespoons
Onion ,chopped                                      1 medium
Garlic paste                                             1/2 teaspoon
Ginger paste                                            1/2 teaspoon
Spring onions with greens, Chopped        5
Green capsicum/Red Pepper, chopped    5 tablespoons
Green chilies, Chopped                           3-4
Soy sauce                                               2 tablespoons
Chilly Sauce                                            1 tablespoon
Tomato Sauce                                         6 tablespoons
Cornstarch                                              2 tablespoons
White Vinegar                                         2 tablespoons
Salt                                                          to taste

Method
Wash and drain cauliflower florets mix it into the batter, the batter should be thick enough to cover the florets nicely. Deep fry until nicely light brown. Remove and drain onto an absorbent paper.

For the sauce, heat two tablespoons of oil in a pan and gently fry the onions, add garlic paste and the ginger paste. Add the chopped capsicum and green chilies. Add tomato and chili sauce, cook for a few minutes, add Soy sauce and vinegar, cook for another few minutes. Add water and corn starch. Cook for about 4-5 minutes, in the end add the spring onions. Add the fried cauliflower florets to the sauce. Mix well to coat and cook for two minutes more.
