Enjoy the new "Summery Look"...
All you need are a few simple things-
- Pair of Flip-Flops
- Mod Podge
- Foam Brush
- Scissors
- Scrap Fabric (Preferably 100% Cotton)
- Soft Ribbon
Let's Start...
Step 1
I am using my old worn out pair of home slippers for this project, so the first step is to clean and disinfect them.
Step 2
Remove the Straps.
Step 3-4
Take your fabric and cut it according to the shape of the base, remember you need left and right so don't cut identical pieces. Cut two rectangular strips for the strap front.
Step 5
Apply mod podge to the base of flip flop.
Step 6
Stick up the fabric, let it dry. Do the other base in the same way.
Step 7
Stick the rectangular fabric to base of strap, first apply the mod podge and then stick the fabric, let it dry.
Step 8
Now take the Ribbon and tie it to one end if the flip flop strap. Apply mod podge to the strap and start wrapping the ribbon.
Step 9
Keep wrapping it up.
Step 10
Finish it at the other end. Secure with a knot.
Step 11
Do both the Straps in the same way.
Step 12
Once the base is dry, do a second layer of mod podge on the fabric, do both the bases and the strap front, no need to do the ribbon on the straps. Let them dry completely.
Step 13
Secure the straps back, and you are done!
