Hello…
Hi, I’m Tania Gnecchi Ruscone, Tdesign founder, owner and maker
In December last year I began Tdesign, my new Australian brand which prides itself on designing and making unique, beautiful and handmade products. Tdesign’s collections are a mix and a combination of graphic, ceramic and jewellery design.

My Craft…
I make and design versitile jewellery collections, perfect for those looking for something understated and elegant as well as those who are after something bright and bold. I also sell lovely cards made using 100% recycled stock. All of my pieces are handmade with love and care in my small Sydney studio.

                

My Inspiration…
I have so many different inspirations that it’s hard to pinpoint one thing. Both of my parents run their own businesses which means that I’ve grown up in a house where everyone works hard and nothing really seems impossible! My mum is a fashion designer and my father collects pieces from around the world so we are defiantly an eclectic family! I’ve grown up around African masks, Chinese statues, mannequins and lots and lots of swatches of fabric so I’ve always loved colour! I also love organic shapes and forms and draw a lot of inspiration from the sea, stones, pebbles. I love to celebrate the beautiful imperfections that come with making things by hand, it makes them more ‘organic’, unique and individual.

My AHA moment of being an Artist…
Ever since I was little I have always been creative, I’ve always love making things and I remember selling my first necklace when I was five. I would sit outside my house making necklaces from shells that I collected from the beach and then hung them off tree branches in my front garden. Every once in a while I would sell one to my neighbour for $1 or maybe even less but I used to have so much fun! Who knows maybe it all began there?

My Creative sides are ignited by…
Almost anything and everything! Creating is such a huge part of who I am I almost always feel like sketching a new design, sometimes my best ideas come to me in the middle of the night or when I’m traveling on a bus. I’ve learnt to have pen and paper with me where ever I go, even next to the bed for midnight scribbling!

Apart from Crafting …
I love eating, chocolate cookies in particular, haha my terrible weakness!

When I am busy creating …
I’m excited, sometimes flustered, happy, fulfilled and almost always mostly clam!

In ten years I would be…
Living in my own little home filled with beautiful artworks and furniture from all my exciting travels around the world. I will also definitely have a HUGE studio!
