Friday Feature- Lisa from NouveauTique.Etsy.Com

Hello…
My name is Lisa and I'm originally from NY and have lived in LA for eight years now. I love creating jewelry and art. I started by making pieces for myself and as gifts for friends and family, and I got such an amazing response that I started selling locally - and now I have my own little shop on Etsy :)

My Craft…
I make jewelry, framed vintage brooches, beaded wire tree sculptures, wedding cake toppers, business card holders and more!

My Inspiration…
The inspiration behind my Etsy shop, Nouveau-Tique, is upcycling jewelry, vintage brooches and supplies like frames and fabrics that I find in antique/resale/thrift shops and at estate sales. I love the idea of taking things that were once treasured but now are unwanted or broken and creating new pieces out of them with a modern edge.

My AHA moment of being an Artist…
I have been drawing, painting and creating things since I was a little girl. It's just always been part of who I am.

My Creative sides are ignited by…
When I get an idea for something new, I usually want to create it right away no matter what time it is.

My Masterpiece…

Apart from Crafting …
I work full time as a legal secretary in a busy office, so crafting is a necessary creative outlet for me. I also love to read and watch movies.

When I am busy creating …
I love listening to music - I can't work in silence. Music inspires me!

In ten years I would be…
Hopefully I will be happy and healthy, with a thriving business!
