Lumi offers a selection of handmade accessories including bootcuffs, cowls, clutches, headbands, crocheted items and knitwear. Everything is designed and handmade by me. Based in sunny Cornwall, UK by the seaside, I like the simple pleasures in life, a happy little family, sunshine, the beach, pottering in the garden or at our allotment and baking.

My Inspiration…
I'm easily inspired. I'll see some lovely fabric or a pretty shade of wool and get the sewing machine or crochet hooks out!
My AHA moment of being an Artist…
I have always loved to make things. My Grandmother taught me to knit when I was little and I really loved it, and ever since I suppose I've never stopped making things.
My Creative sides are ignited by…
Any bit of spare time I manage to grab! My problem is once I've started I hate to stop until its finished. I need pretty quick results or I loose interest or stay up way too late to finish something! I have half a dozen half finished granny square blankets on the go at the moment....
My Masterpiece…
I think my current favourite piece would be one of my starry scalloped cowls, I wear one everyday at the moment! The lacy crochet textured pattern is really pretty and the yarn is so soft and snuggly.
Apart from Crafting …
It has to be spending time with my family, we have 2 children under 3 so life is always fun, mega busy and so lively in our home! I'm also just getting into Bikram yoga, which I LOVE as well as growing things in our allotment - although it is a bit like a scene out of where the wild things are at the moment, we have a lot of digging to do!
When I am busy creating …
I make sure I have a nice cup o tea on the go!
In ten years I would be…
So happy if I could give up the day job and do this for a living!
